Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:       
Southern Connecticut State University is conveniently located between Boston and New York City. The School of Business has been experiencing significant growth in recent years, with increasing enrollment, significant external fundraising success, and a new business building expected to be completed in August 2012. Candidates will be expected to teach courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition, they will conduct scholarly research, serve on committees, and advise students.

Required Qualifications: 
Management applicants require a research doctorate in management or related field, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution. ABD applicants will be considered. Business Law applicants require a minimum of a J.D. degree. Evidence of ability to teach at the university level effectively.. In addition, candidates must demonstrate an ability to engage in meaningful scholarship, leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals in their discipline. It is critically important that the candidate be considered Academically Qualified or Professionally Qualified under AACSB standards. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Preference will be given to candidates who also have an MBA (in addition to the required qualifications), teaching experience, and evidence of scholarly activity.
