Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in microbiology, pathogenic microbiology, infectious diseases and immunology. 

Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:  

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in microbiology, including laboratories, prepare materials for laboratories, provide research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, and establish her/his research program at SCSU. The successful candidate will also be expected to hold office hours and advise students majoring in biology.

Required Qualifications: 

Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in microbiology or closely related field. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

In addition to the earned Ph.D in microbiology the successful applicant should have teaching experience in microbiology and microbiology laboratories, research experience, demonstrate capability in scientific research and writing including presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals
