Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:  

Faculty carry a 12-credit hour load for each semester. Credits may be earned through teaching courses at the undergraduate or graduate level, direct or indirect clinical supervision, laboratory instruction or through thesis/special project advisement. Faculty are also expected to engage in course/clinical coordination, committee/curricular and advisement responsibilities and in  productive service to the Department, School and University. Faculty are also expected to engage in creative activity and professional attendance and participation.

Required Qualifications: 

Masters degree in Nursing. Graduate or baccalaureate teaching experience. Ability to engage in scholarship, leadership and creative activity.

Preferred Qualifications: 

EdD or PhD, recent clinical experience and national certification, evidence of scholarship, leadership and creative activity. Experience in on-line teaching, simulation, and health informatics. Experience in graduate education, preparing nurse educators or clinical nurse leaders.
