Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:       
4 courses per semester. Department has needs in the teaching of introductory courses, especially critical thinking, as well as philosophy of gender or race, philosophy of education and other areas in applied philosophy. We are a pluralistic department with a strong commitment to the history of philosophy.

Required Qualifications: 
Ph.D. expected.  If ABD, candidate must have earned doctorate by end of first year of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications: 
Evidence of ability to teach at the university level effectively.  College teaching experience particularly in the areas of university critical thinking courses.
