Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Public Health

Duties/Responsibilities: 
      
The Department of Public Health is seeking applications to fill a full-time, tenure-track position with a public health generalist, who will teach a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses. Teaching assignments may include core public health topics, specialty course in the areas of environmental health and health promotion, and thesis and special project advisement.  Also expected are scholarly activity, procurement of externally-funded grants and contracts, academic advisement, service to the Department, University and profession, and the fulfillment of other faculty responsibilities delineated in the collective bargaining agreement.

Required Qualifications: 
Applicants will have a doctorate in Public Health or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: 
If applicant's doctorate is not in public health, a graduate degree in public health, in addition to the required doctoral degree, is strongly preferred.  Also strongly preferred are demonstrated ability to teach a variety of public health courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels; advise theses and special projects; secure external funding for grants and contracts; and produce scholarly and professional works.
