Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities: 
      
Normal teaching load is four courses per semester.  Successful candidate will be expected to teach both undergraduate and master's level courses.  In addition to department required courses and electives, we teach courses for the university liberal education program.  All faculty share student advising and committee assignments.

Required Qualifications:
 
Applicants must have earned doctorate by time of appointment.  Evidence of ability to teach at the university level effectively.  Ability to engage in meaningful scholarship/creative activity, leading to presentations at professional meetings and/or publications in peer-reviewed journals in the discipline. 


Preferred Qualifications: 
College teaching experience.  Demonstrated record of scholarship/creative activity.
