Welcome to the web site of the Graduate Division of the English Department at Southern Connecticut State University.  This page is designed to introduce ourselves to you and to tell you a little bit about our programs. We offer both  Master of Arts and  Master of Science Degrees as well as a teacher certification program that can be combined with the M.S. Degree.  Our programs are diverse, and we feature concentrations in American Literature, British Literature, Creative Writing, African-American Studies, Critical Theory, Women's Studies, and Composition Theory.  Our courses are designed to serve a variety of needs including Ph.D. preparation, personal enrichment, and the meeting of state teacher certification requirements.
