LEAP (Leadership, Education and Athletics in partnership)
LEAP (Leadership, Education and Athletics in Partnership) is a youth development organization whose mission is to develop the strengths and talents of young leaders who create and implement year-round, community-based programming designed to achieve positive academic and social outcomes for children, ages 7 to 12, living in high poverty, urban neighborhoods. Founded in 1992, LEAP currently serves more than 240 children and youth in New Haven.
Two positions:

Development/Grants manager
The Grants Manager helps coordinate the organization's grant portfolio. Collaborating with other staff, the Grants Manager works at all stages of the grant process-- researching funding opportunities, developing and writing grant proposals, reporting program outcomes to funders, and communicating strategically with the Senior Management Team. The Grants Manager also assists, as appropriate, with other general funding projects. The Grants Manager works part-time and reports directly to LEAP's Development Director.The Grants Manager helps coordinate the organization's grant portfolio. Americorps Program manager
The LEAP-AmeriCorps Program Manager takes responsibility for the recruitment, training, and development of approximately 60 AmeriCorps members as well as volunteer coordination. Using effective youth development strategies, the AmeriCorps Manager builds the capacity of LEAP's counselors as they create social and academic programming for children. The Manager works closely with the Youth Development and Children's Program staff to ensure that members experience an intensive and fulfilling term of service. The AmeriCorps Manager reports to the Director of Programs.
