the value of diversity in education
The Educational Value of Diversity appeared in the September 10, 2008 of the Journal of the American Medical Association. In the article, Student Body Racial and Ethnic Composition and Diversity-Related Outcomes in US Medical Schools, researchers found that white students were more prepared to work with minority populations when their educations included a more racially and ethnically diverse student population. This article by Saha et al., appears in Volume 300 of JAMA, pages 1135-1145.
