Caribbean Showcase

The West Indian Society envisions the Caribbean Showcase as an educational and entertainment opportunity for the SCSU community to learn about the history, culture, dance, song, poetry, fashion, and inspirations of the Caribbean Islands.

We strive to incorporate our mission statement in our programs, events and fundraisers: "...enlightening those who are interested in acquiring insight on the West Indian islands and uniting all students who have a common interest in raising cultural awareness and instill diversity at SCSU." 

The theme this year is J'ouvert, known as a celebration throughout West Indies of our people's freedom, justice, liberty, life and unity.
