Alice Mattison is the author of six novels, including the recently published When We Argued All Night,
four collections of stories, and a book of poems. Her stories and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Ploughshares, and elsewhere, and have been reprinted in PEN/O.Henry Prize Stories, Best American Short Stories, and The Pushcart Prize. She teaches fiction in the low-residency MFA program at Bennington College, and has lived in New Haven for many years.
David Galef has published over a dozen books, including the most recent, a story collection titled My Date with Neanderthal Woman. He has also published novels, including Flesh and Laugh Rack, children's books and translations of Japanese proverbs. His awards include a Fulbright Fellowship, a Hendfield Foundation grant, and a Writers Exchange Award from Poets and Writers. He is a professor of English and the creative writing program director at Montclair State University.
