Bonnie Farley-Lucas is the director for Faculty Development and professor of communication at Southern,
where she currently teaches courses in Interpersonal Communication, Gender and Communication,
Family Communication, and Conflict Resolution. Dr. Farley-Lucas has published research
on management communication, organizational consulting, communication education, children
and conflict, gender in the workplace, and work-family processes. She has presented
over 40 competitive papers at regional, national, and international conferences. Dr.
Farley-Lucas has over 20 years of experience as an organizational development consultant
and trainer, primarily in the areas of team-building, meeting facilitation, conflict

Jennifer A. Hudson is Faculty Development Associate at Southern, where she also teaches part-time in
Women's Studies and English. Her papers, articles, fiction and poetry have appeared
in several international and national journals and literary magazines. Ms. Hudson's
research interests include women writers and women's writing, feminist theories, utopian
fiction, sexualities and genders, women and spirituality, popular culture, composition, and
eLearning and multiliteracies. She has presented her research in these areas at several
regional, national, and international conferences. She also serves as editorial assistant

Michele Salamone is the secretary for Faculty Development and the Curriculum Innovation Program at
Southern. She has over 15 years' experience in various administrative positions within
the field of education. She is an active volunteer for the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation. Her passion is the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes, where she serves as a committee
