Potential graduates who borrowed a student Federal Family Educational Loan will be notified about the required Exit Interview.
- Payment of balance is due for the spring semester and must be paid directly to the Bursar's Office.
January 2012
- Students can start applying for the 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Student will receive emails asking to verify off-campus and on-campus housing.
FEBRUARY 2012
- The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships verifies Spring 2012 enrollment for all financial aid recipients.
march 2012
- 2012-2013 Award letters will be mailed to new freshmen.
- The 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid/or Renewal Application (FAFSA) must be processed by the priority date of March 2, 2012.
- The Summer 2012 Financial Aid Applications will be available on our website on March 5, 2012.
April 2012
- Potential graduates who borrowed a student Federal Family Educational Loan will be notified about the required Exit Interview.
- All Fall 2012 Stafford Loan borrowers should complete the Entrance Interview online at www.studentloans.gov
- All Fall 2012 Perkins Loan borrowers should complete the Entrance Counseling online at www.mappingyourfuture.org.
May 2012

Must submit the Summer 2012 Financial Aid Application by May 7, 2012.
- Must register for half-time enrollment (undergraduate students = 6 credits and graduate students = 4.5 credits) by May 18, 2012 to be eligible for Summer 2012 financial aid.
June 2012

Students who did not maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP) will be notified in writing.
- 2012-2013 award notification will be emailed to students via their SCSU email account.
July 2012
- Bills are due for the fall semester and must be paid directly to the Bursar's Office. If financial aid is not in place, be sure to pay the bill by the due date.
August 2012
- Students will receive an email request to verify on-campus and off-campus housing.
September 2012
- All financial aid files will be processed for the 2012-2013 academic year.
- The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships verifies Fall 2012 enrollment for all financial aid recipients.
November 2012
- The priority date for new students applying for financial aid for Spring 2013 only is November 2, 2012.
