Meal Plans 2012-2013

The university offers a wide variety of campus meal plans to fit all different schedules and lifestyles.  All residence hall students are required to have a meal plan. The SCSU Hoot Loot Card is required to access these student meal plans.  Standing Reservation plans can be purchased at any time.

Meals per Week:

The Platinum, Gold, and Silver Meal Plans are intended to be used in Southern's all-you-care-to-eat Connecticut Dining Hall.  However, meals can also be used in food service dining locations with the Anywhere Meals program.

Anywhere Meals:

Each plan comes with a specified number of weekly Anywhere Meals to be used in any of the food service retail locations. Each time you use an Anywhere Meal, the meal is subtracted from your Anywhere Meal balance. On the Platinum, Gold and Silver plans the Anywhere Meals do not carry over from week to week; they are reset to the specified number in accordance to your meal plan every Monday morning.  On the My Meals Block Plans, the Anywhere Meals are not reset each week.

Guest Meals:

The Platinum, Gold, and Silver Plans come with a set number of guest meals for the semester.  These can be used to treat a friend in Southern's dining community.

Resident Students

Residential Students have from two weeks before the start of a semester until the end of the first week in each semester to change their meal plan.  Participation in the Platinum, Gold or Silver meal plan is required for all students living in non-kitchen equipped rooms while all students in kitchen equipped rooms must minimally participate in the $300 declining balance meal plan.  Residents are able to change their meal plan 2 weeks prior and 1 week after the first day of classes.  To change your meal plan online through the BannerWeb system, visit:

https://bannerweb.southernct.edu

Once logged on, choose Student Services and then select Change Your Meal Plan.
