Study Abroad
The department strongly recommends study abroad for language majors and minors, and works with the International Programs office to place students in living and learning environments where students are immersed in language and culture. Majors and minors should discuss options with their advisers, and interested students should contact the IP office directly. In addition, the program offers several study abroad experience led by faculty during spring and summer breaks.
Spanish in Salamanca, Spain
Dr. Carlos Arboleda leads a one-month summer (July) program in Salamanca for undergraduates and graduates, who can earn up to six credits. Interested students should contact Dr. Arboleda directly.
German in Vienna, Austria
Dr. Dan Soneson teaches a special topics course titled "Vienna Past and Present" that spends Spring Break in Vienna focused on the topics discussed in class. Interested students should contact Dr. Soneson.
