Veterans Day Ceremony

Southern's annual Veterans Day Ceremony, co-sponsored with Programs Council, will honor the university's student veterans and recognize the history and tradition of this sacred day.

The colors will be posted, President Norton will welcome members of the audience, and the guest speaker is J.R. Martinez. J.R. was seriously wounded in Iraq in 2003, suffering burns over 40% of his body. He underwent 32 different surgeries, including skin grafts and cosmetic surgery. He now inspires the lives of others through his amazing story of resilience, perseverance and optimism.
