·       Trained 300 students and 40 teachers in computer use 1997-1998
·       Managed three budgets from various funding sources
·       Implemented a $50,000 technology grant received for internet lab
·       Served as school web master and computer technician (Set  up 35 computers in the school)
·       Maintained print and non-print collections, order and  process materials
·       Implemented  ALA "Information Literacy" standards, including "Flexible Scheduling" and use of "Big Six Skills" for information problem solving
·       Served on the principal's administrative team, the School Planning and Management Team and other school district committees

·       Taught undergraduate and graduate courses and seminars in Internet and Database Searching, SIRSI On-Line Catalog Use, Use of the Library, and Using Electronic Resources for Research.
·       Created and implemented distance education library support programs for undergraduate and graduate programs. Portland State University's distance education programs utilized the full spectrum of delivery models, including: Picturetel; compressed video; two-way audio/one-way video; traveling faculty; and web based courseware.
·       Designed special service and training programs for the students and faculty of the Schools of Business, and Education. Wrote "Library Services Section" of the School of Social Work's proposal to the Council on Social Work Education accrediting body. This program is one of a few accredited MSW distance education programs in the country.
·       Served on the School of Social Work distant education implementation team. Traveled all over the state establishing library support services and negotiating service contracts in five sites for the MSW off-campus program.
·       Initiated collaborative planning sessions with faculty in various departments. Assessed a variety of research tools for evaluating use of on-lime library resources for off-campus students.
·       Launched research and technology training sessions for new undergraduate students in the national award winning "University Studies" curriculum. This program included yearlong interdisciplinary thematic courses, which changed the traditional way libraries and students used information sources.

·       Library and Information Center Management and related organizational theories, organization structure and organizational behavior issues; classroom management strategies in the media center
Specific interests in this area include: public, school and state libraries; management and staff development issues in urban and rural public libraries; personnel legal issues; and workplace diversity issues.
·       Information Services to Youth and Special Populations and related learning theories, education models and intercultural communication theories.
Specific interests in this area include:  Urban and Rural School Libraries, Access and information applications of technology in serving children, young adults, seniors, different ethnic groups and persons with disabilities (e.g. talking computers, computerized Braille output, culturally sensitive key word searching of electronic databases, access to technology by disabled or minority groups). Also, have a literary interest in African-American Historical Fiction for Children and Young Adults
·       Technology in Education: Applications and Issues
Specific interests in this area include: Integrating technology in teaching; Use of media and technology in teaching to address Dr.  Howard Gardner's theories of multiple intelligences in the classroom; Equity of access to technology in small and rural schools and poor urban schools; and using internet resources in the library media center and classroom for expanding information resources.

·       Raised  children's books circulation levels to over 10,000 books a day during the summer months
·       Increased children's programs from one a week to 2- 4 shows daily to meet increased demand by users
