To the Southern community:

At the end of the spring 2011 semester Dr. Linda Olson, Academic Coordinator for the International Program's office, will be returning to the World Languages Department full time. 

From its inception, Dr. Olson has passionately helped guide the direction of the International Program's office. She has advised countless students on the importance of studying abroad and assisted as many with identifying the best program to attend. She has worked diligently to ensure students have had the most successful experience possible.

In addition to helping students, Dr. Olson has provided guidance to faculty interested in developing course abroad programs and student internships. Her commitment to helping internationalize the campus has also brought academic scholars from around the world to provide different perspectives and insights into important and interesting topics.

Her presence in the International Programs office will be missed but we are happy she will be pursuing her other passion -- French.
