EXTENSION OF Academic Program

Ø       An F-1 student who is unable to complete a full course of study in a timely manner must apply for a program extension within 30 days before the program completion date on the I-20 expires.  The student's academic advisor must indicate the reason for the extension on the Deviation Form. Program extension with the reason of delays caused by academic probation, academic suspension or financial difficulties is not acceptable reasons for program extension.

Ø       An F-1 student who is compelled by illness or medical condition, which interrupts their full-time enrollment will need to contact the International Student Advisor as soon as possible before dropping below a full course of study for medical reasons.
