Memories of SCSU
Memories of SCSU were the great classes taught by Robin (Glassman) Marshall. I will never forget her asking a question and no one saying a word. I would then start the discussion. Are classes still like that 25 years later? I will also never forget and wish to attend again one of her infamous journalism parties. They were wonderful! Also working on the greatest humor magazine in SCSU's history -- Southern Comfort.

Life Since Graduation
Spent 9 1/2 years in the Navy as a journalist. Did tours on two ships (USS Hoel and USS Tripoli) out of San Diego. Did two Western Pacific deployments and spent time in the Persian Gulf and Somalia. In between these two assignments spent four years in Tokyo working at the Stars & Stripes. After the Navy, I went back to Tokyo as the assistant sports editor of Stars & Stripes. Was there for six years before becoming the sports editor for all of Stars & Stripes, headquartered in Washington, D.C. Joined USA Hockey in 2000. I have covered three Olympics, numerous world championships in sports such as cycling, ping pong, ice hockey, inline hockey, and freestyle wrestling. I was the only American journalist working for an American publication to cover Japanese baseball. Worked for UPI and the German Press Agency covering tennis and track and field. Also covered Team Spirit (a military exercise in South Korea) and a military armistice commission meeting at the Demilitarized Zone on the border of North and South Korea. Was part of the initial landing force in Somalia in 1992. Also covered Emperor Hirohito's funeral in 1989. Joined USA Hockey in January 2000 as the managing editor of American Hockey Magazine. Covered numerous NHL All-Star and Stanley Cup games, the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, World Championships, and the Deutschland Cup in Hannover, Germany.
