In addition to being department chairman, Ed's speciality is Gestalt Therapy. He has been trained in Structural Family Therapy with Salvador Minuchin, Object Relations Therapy at the Washington School of Psychiatry, and trained with Laura Perls, Erv and Miriam Polster, and Joseph Zinker. He also trained for 10 years at the New York Institute of Gestalt Therapy with Isadore From. He brings over 30 years of experience in working with individuals, couples, and families from both a Gestalt and Structural focus. He teaches and facilitates workshops throughout the United States and Europe. His current research interests include Post Modern Ideas in Gestalt and Family Therapy. He is the co-author of Principles and Practices of Structural Family Therapy.
