creative music orchestra

The Creative Music Orchestra was founded in the fall semester of 1995 by its director, Dr. David Chevan.  Its purpose is to explore and perform works and improvisations that represent old and new traditions of creative music making.  These works range from renditions of traditional folk music to spontaneous fully-improvised pieces.  The music sources for these pieces span the globe, and the ensemble has explored music from a wide range of cultures and societies.
