Tim Russert, one of the nation's leading political analysts, will deliver the 10th annual Mary and Louis Fusco Distinguished Lecture: "Meet the Candidates: Election 2008" on April 9. Tickets for the 7 p.m. event are sold out, but tickets are available for a private reception with Tim Russert prior to the lecture, priced at $150 per person. As host of NBC's iconic Sunday morning broadcast "Meet The Press," Tim Russert has the opportunity to discuss policy, strategy, goals, issues, and news headlines with each of the 2008 presidential candidates. Part of the proceeds from the Distinguished Lecture benefit Southern's Endowed Awards of Excellence, a merit-based scholarship program that attracts and recognizes academically talented students.
