Rush and Recruitment

Fall 2011

Rush and Recruitment for fraternities and sororities begins Monday, August 29th, 2011 and will conclude on Wednesday, September 28th 2011.  "Rush" is the period of time when the fraternities and sororities on campus get to know the students interested in learning more about Greek Life organizations. Traditionally, this period of time is filled with events, activities, and programs, both social and educational in nature, that are open, fun, and primarily free.

If you are interested, please stop by one of our many events, ask questions, or stop by the Office of Student Life, ASC 213, or email glc@southernct.edu.

 

Important dates

August

Aug. 29- Rush opens. Meet Southern's fraternities and sororities by attending their Rush/Recruitment Events! Greeks will be tabling outside the Adanti Student Center 11am  to 2pm, and outsid of Conn Hall 4pm to 7pm.

Aug 30 - Sorority Social(more info TBA)

September

Sept. 1- Greek Life Tabling 11am - 3pm outside the Adanti Student Center

Sept. 6 - Greek Life Kickoff Event! Come see what our Greek Organizations are all about!

Sept. 7 - Greek Life Tabling 12pm - 3pm outside the Adanti Student Center

Sept. 12- Crushing Stereotypes program(more info TBA)

Sept. 13- Educational Program and Fraternity Social (Monday Night Football) More info soon.

Sept. 14 - Greek Life Tabling 4pm to 7pm outside Conn Hall. Club Fair (More info TBA) 

Sept. 28 - Rush officially closes.

Sept. 30 - New Member Workshop for all prospective new members at 1pm.
