Sigma Tau Delta – National Honor Society for English majors

Sigma Tau Delta is an undergraduate student organization that recognizes individuals who excel in the study of the English language and literature. The mission of this organization is to promote literacy and an interest in the English language while fostering the development of strong writing skills. Sigma Tau Delta is also dedicated to serving the local and campus community through events and projects promoting literacy and a love of the language.

 

Sigma Tau Delta was founded in 1924 at Dakota Wesleyan University and currently has over 800 active chapters nationwide. Student members may submit examples of non-fiction and fiction writing as well as potery to Sigma Tau's two journals, The Sigma Tau Delta Review and The Sigma Tau Delta Rectangle.
