Colleges Against Cancer
Colleges Against Cancer gives students the opportunity to bring the fight against cancer to campus, while receiving support and guidance from a local American Cancer Society office. Our chapter here at Southern was founded in the Fall of 2007 and has grown imensely since then. Colleges Against Cancer hosts many annual activities on campus including the Great American Smokeout, Breast Cancer programming, and Relay For Life, which is currently in its seventh year on Southern's campus. Over the past 6 years Relay For Life of Southern has raised over $180,000 for the American Cancer Society's various cancer-fighting programs. Colleges Against Cancer is also very active in the campus and local community.
