The purposes of this fraternity shall be: (1) To offer and create a common bond for life-long friendship between all members; To unite the Latino community (2) To promote the intellectual, vocational, social, recreational, and moral development of all members; To provide a strong and solid base for Latino culture to support each other personally and academically. (3) To encourage academic excellence through chapter programs and efforts of individual members; To create a network of professionals. (4) To promote an appreciation for different lifestyles and cultural heritages; (5) To actively engage in University and community service projects; (6) To expand our Brotherhood to an international level (7) To provide training in leadership skills and other personal and social skills; and to ensure that numbers of minorities in colleges is ever increasing (8) To increase college spirit and instill loyalty to our alma mater, Southern Connecticut State University and to enrich our surroundings with pride and spirit.
