The student media are recognized as valuable aids in establishing and maintaining an atmosphere of free and responsible discussion and of intellectual exploration on the campus. They are the means of bringing student concerns to the attention of the faculty and institutional authorities, formulating student opinion on various campus and world issues, and informing the student body of events on the campus and the world at large.
