P Card Program
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: The SCSU P-Card may no longer be used to purchase electronic devices which have the capability of storing data. Such electronic devices include (but are not limited to) iPads, Notebooks, Tablets, Laptops, and Smartphones, as well as cellular telephone equipment. All such electronic devices must be purchased through the purchase requisition/purchase order process. The purchase of electronic devices through the SCSU P-Card is now a prohibited purchase. Violation of this policy shall result in revocation of the cardholder's P-Card. The P-Card Program Policy and Procedures manual has been updated to reflect this change in policy. You are encouraged to review the P-Card manual for current information regarding SCSU's P-Card program: http://www.southernct.edu/pcard/.
This message also serves to remind you of policies related to state-owned technology. Our increasing risk of exposure of personal and confidential identity information is a fundamental reason for this change in policy. To request a P-Card, please complete the P-Card Application Form (see below). You should also read the P-Card Manual as you will need to successfully complete a P-Card Online Training program prior to receiving your P-Card. Access to the P-Card Online Training Program will be provided to you upon receipt of your completed P-Card Application Form.
