MySCSU Account

MySCSU is the university portal that provides secure and private access to email, calendar, chat rooms, bulletin boards, course schedules, transcripts, registration, financial aid, degree evaluation, and much more. MySCSU can be accessed from anywhere in the world using a valid web browser and an internet connection.


Password


If you are a new employee, you will be given a default password when you arrive on campus. If you are a new student, your default password is included in your acceptance letter. When you log in for the first time, or with an expired password, you will be forced to change your password.

All passwords for university services must abide by complexity requirements listed below:

  • Not contain significant portions of the user’s account name or full name.
  • The password length must be 8 or greater. 
  • Contain at least one character from the following four categories:
    • uppercase letter (A-Z).
    • lowercase letter (a-z)
    • numeric digit (0-9).
    • special character (!@#$%^&*()_-+=|~`][;"'<,>.?/)

Password resets for MySCSU accounts can only be performed by authorized IT personnel. You can find technicians to reset your MySCSU password in OB1, Jennings 130, Buley 409, or DA 220A. You must have your Hoot Loot ID card with you to prove your identity.


Username

Your MySCSU account username is the same as your Windows account. It is assigned automatically and consists of letters based on your last name, your first name, and a random number.
