On-Campus

Each member of the university is provided with a Webspace. This is a space that is unique to each individual. When a user is logged into a University machine, they can easily access their space by going to My Computer and selecting the U:/ drive.

Off-Campus

You can also SFTP into your webspace when off campus and access the 50mb that is provided to you for publishing documentation on the World Wide Web. If you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you can use Internet Explorer to access the files published under your space.  If you are using older Windows the files will not work correctly and will only appear as hyperlinks.

To sftp into your webspace:

1. Click on the Start Button
2. Click on Run
3. In the white box type sftp://www.southernct.edu
4. After the folders have appeared, click on the File menu at the top
5. Click on Login
6. Enter your MySCSU username and password
7. This will log you into your secure webspace area
8. Open the folder WWW
9. Anything you place in the WWW folder will appear on the web under http://home.southernct.edu/~myscsuusername/
