SafeAssign is a tool built into eLearning Vista to detect plagiarism in students' papers. It also has features designed to aid in educating students about plagiarism and the importance of providing proper attribution when including or referencing the work of others. When SafeAssign is used in an eLearning Vista course, students' submissions are automatically compared to material stored in multiple databases including publicly accessible documents on the Internet.
