Network storage space, also referred as the U drive, is provided to faculty, staff, and students. The U drive is used to store personal web pages. It is accessible from any computer on or off campus and is backed up nightly to prevent loss of any data in the event of server failure.
In addition to U drive, faculty and staff are given additional personal network storage, also known as H drive. The H drive is accessible on and off campus and is backed up nightly.
The U and H drives are for personal
storage. Faculty and staff should use MySCSU Group to share files.
Do not store sensitive or confidential data on U drive, H drive, or MySCSU Group. Contact OIT for procedures to store confidential or sensitive information.
