To access network storage and wirless services, users must use Southern's Virtual Private Network (VPN). You may connect to VPN as follows:

1. Go to https://remote.southernct.edu.
   
2. Log in with your Windows username and password.

VPN with Internet Explorer 7.0

When using Internet Explorer 7.0, you need to approve an Add-on necessary for Virtual Private Network (VPN) service.

1. Click on Tools.
   
2. Click on Manage Add-ons.
   
3. Click on Enable or Disable Add-ons.
4. Select Downloaded ActiveX Controls from the Show drop-down menu.
   
5. Select JuniperSetupSP1 Control.
   
6. Select Enable from the settings area below.
   
7. Click OK.
   
8. You will have to restart Internet Explorer and sign in to the remote.southernct.edu again for the Network Connect application to start.
