Symptoms

When connecting to ResNet you are redirected to a User Registration page that prompts a message similar to one of the following...

• This Connection is Untrusted
• Safari cannot verify the identity of the website
• There is a problem with this website's security certificate

This warning is OK for this website. To grant an exception for this website you may follow these steps or use the alternative method found at the bottom of this page...

Internet Explorer 6.0 and Up

1. Click the Certificate Error button in the Internet Explorer address bar of the Certificate Error warning page.
2. Click View Details.
3. Select the root certificate in the Certification Path tab, and then click View Certificate.
4. Click Install Certificate in the General tab.

Firefox 2.0.x/3.0.x

1. On the warning page, click Or you can add an exception....
2. Click Add Exception.... The Add Security Exception dialog will appear.
3. Click Get Certificate.
4. Read the text describing the problems with this site.
5. Click Confirm Security Exception if you want to trust the site.

Firefox 3.5.x

1. On the warning page, click I Understand the Risks.
2. Click Add Exception.... The Add Security Exception dialog will appear.
3. Read the text describing the problems with this site.
4. Click Confirm Security Exception if you want to trust the site.

Safari

1. Click Show Certificate.
2. Click the triangle icon the the left of "Trust".
3. Choose "Always Trust" from the "When using this certificate:" pop-up menu.
4. Click Continue.
5. Enter an admin name and password if prompted.
