The E.D.G.E Mission

The English Graduate Student Ensemble (EDGE) shall support
educational, social, cultural and recreational activities directed toward enriching the experiences of English graduate students and improving the quality of graduate student life at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU).  These activities include bringing various lecturers, readers, and workshops to SCSU, including fiction writers, essayists, poets, children's authors, professional development speakers, etc.  In addition, EDGE functions as the voice of English graduate students within the university and the English department in helping to institute changes in policy and program requirements within the rights, responsibilities and jurisdiction of the Graduate Student Affairs Committee (GSAC), Board of the Trustees, and the President of SCSU.
