The tenth meeting of the 2002-2003 year was called to order at 12:15 PM.
The minutes of February 12, 2003 were approved.

UCF update, Jim Tait:
· By the end of the semester, the UCF hopes to finalize their constitution
· By the end of the semester, the UCF hopes to finalize and pass the writing program.
President’s Report (attached)
1. Academic Policy:
· The committee met with Lynn Kohrn regarding the Banner Curriculum Advising Planning Program (CAPP).
o With the CAPP program, a compliance report can be generated that may range from 2 – 16 pages that will indicate which requirements have not yet been met. However, it will not list the options that the student could use to fulfill the requirements.
o With the CAPP program, graduation audits can be performed.
o
Prerequisite checking
with Banner will begin with the Fall 2003 semester.

The late withdrawal
survey will be sent to all full-time faculty within the next week.
2. Elections:
· The constitutional amendment was passed in the faculty referendum by a vote of 150 yes to 15 no.
3. Finance:
· There are no funds left in the full-time travel account with nine TAs
pending
4. Personnel Policy:
· The Survey of Administrative Effectiveness has been completed and will be distributed to all full and part-time faculty.
· The committee is working on changes in the Sabbatical Leave Document and will next begin to work on the Promotion and Tenure Document.
5. Rules:
· The committee is working with UCF on finalizing their constitution
6. Student Policy:
· The committee is continuing to gather data regarding plagiarism.
New Business:
● Technology Committee resolution: Faculty Technology Resource Center
o Senator Brin presented the resolution.
o Following debate and the acceptance of a friendly amendment, the resolution, as amended, passed on voice vote. (Approved resolution is attached)
