NES/MAA SECTION MEETINGS


Future meetings of the Northeastern Section are listed below. As more information becomes available, it will be posted here or on separate pages linked to this page.

  • Spring 2006 -- Boston University, Boston MA, June 2-3, 2006.  Robert Devaney is the program chair, and Paul Blanchard is the local arrangements coordinator.
  • Call for Contributed Papers by faculty and other professionals:  Deadline for submission of abstracts is May 15.  Contributed paper presenters must submit their meeting registration so that it is received at Boston University by Friday, May 19.  
  • Call for Undergraduate Student Papers: Deadline for submission of abstracts is May 12.
  • Call for Graduate Student Papers:  Deadline for submission of abstracts is May 12.

  • Spring 2007 -- Keene State University
  • Fall 2007 -- Framingham State College

  • Call for Contributed Papers

    Participants at the Fall and Spring Meetings of the section are invited to submit contributed papers. We are particularly interested in papers which will appeal to a variety of participants.   For more information about submitting a paper, go to http://www2.norwich.edu/rpodiac/contributedpapers.html .  The coordinator of our Contributed Papers sessions is Robert Poodiack, Norwich University.  You can contact him at rpoodiac@norwich.edu  .
     


    Call for Student Papers

    Students (and recent graduates) from the Northeastern Section are invited to present talks at the Fall and Spring Meetings on topics in mathematics, statistics, or computer science. The presentations should be 10-15 minutes in length, on expository work, research projects, employment experiences, or problems from mathematical periodicals.  The registration fee and cost of meals will be waived for one student presenter per paper.  Interested students should contact  Raimundo Kovac, RKovac@ric.edu , Rhode Island College, or Karen Stanish, kstanish@keene.edu, Keene State College.
