Fall 2009 has begun, and so has ProCon! We have gone through many changes this semester, starting off with our new office! Programs Council is now located in room 228A in the Adanti Student Center. Any questions you have about any of our upcoming events, you can come ask us there! Also, we have an entire new event schedule including safety week and diversity week! And if you need to contact us or find out more information about what we do or our plans for this semester you can now add us on facebook, follow us on twitter, and IM us on AIM! It’s sure to be an amazing semester! We hope to see you at our meetings and at the events!

There’s so many fun activities coming up I don’t even know where to start.

If you are planning on going on the DC trip: We will be leaving at 8am on Friday, February 13. It’s early, but we can sleep on the bus. We will be meeting at Lot 2, which is Pelz Gym and Jennings Hall. If you need to leave your car there for the weekend, please park it in the parking lot and your name will be on a registry list so you’ll be fine. If you’re wondering, Wall-E will be one of the movies so we’re good to go!

Black Inventions Exhibit is right right around the corner! It’s this Thursday, February 12! Join us in Conn Hall from 10am-6pm! You know you want to!

aaaaaaaand we are very excited to announce that the movie that will be playing Tuesday, February 17 is TWILIGHT! Come to this sparkling event with our dear friend Edward Cullen.

ProCon just wanted to thank everyone for coming to the welcome back dance! We had a lot of fun and hope everyone did too. We had the ballroom packed with over 250 people dancing and celebrating the start of a new semester! Congratulations to the winner of the iPod nano, we know youll be thinkin about ProCon while your jammin. If you wanna see some pictures from the dance you can click here! You can also watch our first video.

Also, if anyone is interested in being a ProCon member and want to help make Southern a more fun environment with amazing programs, you should definitely JOIN! We are open to commuters and residents and anyone who wants to make a change at SCSU and become more involved in our community! Our first meeting this semester will be Monday, February 9 at 7:30pm in room 324 of the Student Center.
