Equity of Access – Adaptive Technology:
Examples of the Technology – Movie 1
by Frances S. Grodzinsky of Sacred Heart University

“One thing that we’ve seen happening recently as concern for people with disabilities has increased is that we’ve seen the computer companies such as Apple and Sun and Microsoft actually building in some disability tools into their user interfaces. You can click on a disability icon and reduce the speed of your keys… you can create sticky keys… there are now APIs or middleware created in Sun that will help people with disabilities use their particular products. So this is a definite, positive step in the right direction.”

Art direction, digital photography, and editing by Margaret E. Tehan.
