Welcome to Southern Connecticut State University!
Orientation is designed to provide new students with information they will need to have a successful first year at Southern.
First-time college students (freshmen) who will be attending Southern Connecticut State University in the Fall of 2008 must attend one of the following five New Student Orientation sessions-
Session I -- Monday, June 2nd - Tuesday, June 3rd
Session II -- Thursday, June 12th - Friday, June 13th
Session III -- Tuesday, June 17th - Wednesday, June 18th
Session IV -- Monday, June 23rd - Tuesday, June 24th
Session V -- Friday, June 27th - Saturday, June 28th
These sessions will provide students with information critical to their academic success, allow new students to network with professional faculty and staff, socialize with their peers, and students will register for their fall courses during their New Student Orientation sessions.
New students will be able to place reservations by visiting the online reservation Web page. In order to utilize the reservation site, students will need their MySCSU user name and password. Click here to make your reservation. Only students who have been accepted to the university and have paid the admissions binder fee will have access to the orientation reservation system.
A special orientation for transfer students will be held on Friday, August 15th. Transfer Student Orientation is designed to acclimate college students to Southern Connecticut State University. This one-day program is filled with information critical to the success of transfer students.
