Congratulations on your acceptance to Southern Connecticut State University!

We believe that you have chosen the best university to continue pursuing your academic and career goals, and we enthusiastically look forward to welcoming you to the campus.

We are planning an exciting and informative one-day orientation program scheduled for Friday, August 14th.  Our orientation program is designed not only to be a tremendous learning experience, but a time to socialize with over 400 transfer students who, like you, will be continuing their college careers at Southern. Along with learning how to navigate your way around campus, you will meet faculty and administrators, and have fun meeting new friends. This is a tremendous opportunity to prepare for a successful transition to Southern Connecticut State University.

Schedule

Schedule- View the schedule of the day's activities.

Freshmen status -- Transfer Students who have earned 15 credits or less should plan to arrive by 9am. Check-in will be in the Adanti Student Center, Main Dining Area.

Sophomore, Junior and Senior status -- Transfer Students who have earned 16 credits or more should plan to arrive by 1 p.m. Check-in will be in the Adanti Student Center, Ballroom (3rd floor).

Programs will conclude at 7:30p.m.

Non-Traditional Students- Students who are 23 years or older, have children who are dependent on them for support, work full-time, or are single parents are often considered Non-Traditional Students. These students are invited to arrive for 7pm for a student reception and abbreviated informational session designed to help you be successful at Southern. Check-in will be in the Adanti Student Center, Ballroom (3rd floor).

The on-line reservation system has been closed. Please contact the Office of Student Life at 203 392 5782 or email orientation@southernct.edu if you wish to place a reservation for Transfer Student Orientation.
