Asking a "good" scientific research question is central to the inquiry process. Yet, how students struggle with this skill! This workshop is designed to share strategies for immediate application in your classroom.
The day includes an opportunity to meet SCSU faculty researchers for an overview of interdisciplinary science projects sure to spark your interest and that of your high school students. Stick around to visit their labs! Through interactive small-group sessions, you will increase your confidence in helping students to select a project focus, define variables and an experimental approach. The New Haven Science Fair manual will be used a resource during this workshop and NHSF Steering Committee Members will be available to provide resources and answer questions.
