SummerTech 2005
Sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development with the generous support of the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Southern Connecticut State University, SummerTech is a week-long workshop that brings faculty together from across the university to explore the use of technology in the service of education.
Specifically. participants will explore the use of the World Wide Web to provide course content to their students. Topics covered include
- HTML and XHTML to structure content
- Cascading Style Sheets to affect design
- Tables for structuring data
- Image formats and optimization
- The use of computers in the classroom
- WebCT as a course management tool
- Constructing PDF documents
