Overview
Database software is used to store, manage, search,
and sort large amounts of information. One form of a database
is an electronic address book that would allow you to easily find
someone's address by searching for everyone in a database with a
particular last name. Databases range from the most basic,
like the address book example, to the very advanced, such as a database
for storing customer information, orders, etc. for a store or company.
This modules focuses on the basics of what a database is and how
to create a basic database for storing information.
Software to use
- Microsoft Access (recommended)
- AppleWorks/ClarisWorks (no database
tutorials available. Use built-in tutorials and help)

- General understanding of database concepts such
as tables, queries

- Creating tables for storing data
