Tutorial Modules

Of the nine modules listed below, you will complete some of them for this course.  The modules that you choose to complete will need to be decided between you and the instructor of the course based on you indiviual skill level and needs.  Because there are undoubtedly as many skill levels as there are students in this course, this will allow an opportunity for you to further develop exisiting skills and also to learn new skills with common software found in most schools and commonly used by teachers and students.

The modules listed below are rated by their difficulty and also have "completion points" noted for each module.  You can choose any of these modules to complete, but you must do enough of them to total 5 completion points.  For example, if you are new to technology, you might choose to do the three "beginning" modules and one of the intermediate modules.  Or if you are up for a challenge, you might do the web page development module (4 completion points) and one of the beginning modules (1 completion point) for a total of 5 completion points.  This arrangement was made because not all of these assignments are of equal difficulty and also because some modules, like the Web Page Development, incorporate skills acquired in other tutorial modules and, thus, required a larger set of skills.

You must notify the instructor via the "Tutorial Selection" discussion board of your choices BEFORE beginning.

Assignments are listed on the module pages listed below.
Title Skill Level
Operating Systems Beginning
Word Processing Beginning
Spreadsheets Beginning
Presentation Software Intermediate
Digital Imaging Intermediate
Desktop Publishing Advanced
Database Advanced
Web Page Development Advanced
