What Others Have Noticed (and Missed) in My Writing

Compose a brief essay (2-3 pp.) describing what others have noticed and missed in your written work.  That writing may have been done for previous English courses, other classes, at work, or for personal satisfaction.  Please be as specific as possible in your explanations and descriptions.  Use examples when you can.  Let me know how your abilities/proclivities as a reader pertain to what you have experienced.  This is my first opportunity to get to know you and your writing (and reading) history, so be sure to include information that you feel I ought to have as we begin our semester.

When you have finished with the past, tell me about the future you envision.  What are your writing goals?  How are they related to your writing history?  What do you plan to do in order to accomplish them?  Try to be more specific than ³Iıll work hard.²

Like all writing for the course done outside of class, this should be typed, double-spaced, with 1² margins, and 10-12 pt. font.  (But remember, itıs always more important to DO the work than to type it, so if it must be handwritten, be sure itıs legible.)
