bachelor of science degree
Southern's unique bachelor's degree in public health, one of the first in the country, prepares students to assume positions in a broad array of public health careers, thereby increasing their potential for job placement.
The program consists of a 42-credit core curriculum, and 6 credits of professional experience through a rigorous field internship. University and academic distribution requirements total 46 credits and the remaining 27 credits are for electives. Majors may develop a minor in an academic area which complements the public health major.
