Prospective New Public health Majors

The Department of Public Health offers a Bachelor of Science in Public Health.  The program consists of 42 credits of coursework in core public health areas of study, including illness and disease, epidemiology, research, environmental health, health promotion, and health policy.  All candidates for the B.S. in Public Health must complete a 6 credit field internship. 

Students interested in becoming Public Health Majors need to complete an ASSESSMENT which can be downloaded by clicking here.  Students will return the completed assessment form and their 'what-if analysis' from Banner to Dr. Michele Vancour, Coordinator of Undergraduate Public Health Studies in the Orlando House, located at 144 Farnham Avenue, New Haven, across the street from Admissions.  Questions can be directed to Dr. Michele Vancour at (203) 392-5530 or vancourm1@southernct.edu.
