RESEARCH INTERESTS IN GENERAL:
I am writing a second book currently. Encounter with Leviathan on the adjustment of business and conservative elites to to the expansion of the state in the 20th century.
CURRENT/FUTURE SPECIFIC RESEARCH PROJECTS:
A proposal (with Everett Carll Ladd) to reproduce some of the important theoretical pieces written on the New Deal at the time.
Research has begun on a second book examining the adjustment of business and conservative elites in the United States to the expansion of the state in the twentieth century. Columbia University Press's new American Institutions series has expressed interest in this book.
